VetSkill Celebrates Its 1000th Apprentice!

Sophie Turner-Bishop has become VetSkill’s 1000th apprentice, achieving her Level 3 Veterinary Nurse apprenticeship.
After registering for the City and Guilds Diploma and starting training with MYF Training in January 2020, Sophie was among the significant number of students impacted when City and Guilds rescinded the qualification. This was an incredibly challenging time for students; however, MYF Training’s decision to partner with VetSkill allowed her to continue and complete her studies.
Sophie expresses:
“This has been a long journey, but rewarding as I have now qualified and enrolled on the RCVS register as an RVN in 2023. I have also set myself the target of developing my career by doing an emergency and critical care certificate to enhance my skills and knowledge.”
VetSkill is thrilled to have certificated over 1000 apprentices. These apprentices have completed the Level 2 Animal Care and Welfare, Level 2 Dog Groomer and Level 3 Veterinary Nurse apprenticeships, with VetSkill providing the end-point assessment. Apprenticeships offer a hands-on approach to gaining qualifications with on-the-job training. VetSkill looks forward to certificating many more apprentices to come.
