Online content specialist Vetstream has appointed a new business development manager to capitalise on increasing demand for its subscription-based content services Canis (dogs); Felis (cats); Lapis (rabbits) and Equis (horses). Ms Jeanette Long, who joins the Vetstream from global testing, advisory and group Exova, will also take sales responsibility for working with Vetstream's network of resellers and distributors.
Jeanette, who graduated in Medical Biochemistry, worked initially as a microbiologist and technical manager before moving into business development and account management. She took up her new role with Vetstream in November 2012.
Commenting on her appointment, Dr G Mark Johnston MRCVS, Managing Director of Vetstream, comments: “Veterinary practices are embracing digital communications, both for CPD and clinical reference, and as a tool to differentiate their practice and communicate with clients. Jeanette brings maturity and significant experience in providing digital communications and information solutions to the FMCG sector which she will be able to apply to the veterinary sector. We’re really excited that she’s joining us.”
Jeanette Long adds: “During my career I have gained experience of providing online information to the food and drinks industry. I look forward to applying this experience and learning of the needs and challenges of the veterinary sector.” She can be contacted at [email protected] and by phone at +44 7880385310.More from
