Following unprecedented high demand due to the recent Bluetongue outbreak, Virbac has been working hard to secure stock for vets and farmers to enable them to vaccinate their animals. Virbac are delighted to announce that Syvazul is now back in stock and available in wholesalers.
Syvazul is manufactured by Syva, global specialists in vector-borne disease, with decades of research and production expertise.
‘The virus will peak in late September to early October, but infected midges are expected to remain active until November/December’ explains Sarah Kearney, Product Manager at Virbac. ‘Syvazul offers the current market standard of vaccination in cattle with a reduction of viraemia, as well as reducing viraemia, mortality and clinical signs in sheep. Vaccination remains our best defence against Bluetongue and it isn’t too late to protect cattle and sheep during the outbreak.’
