The 2026 Cream Awards, held at the Chesford Grange Hotel in Warwickshire on September 3rd provided a glittering awards presentation evening, championing the best that the UK dairy industry has to offer.
Virbac continued its support of dairy vets, with the Virbac Dairy Vet of the Year and Dairy Practice of the Year awards.
Both categories attracted nominations of exceptional quality and calibre, reflecting the strength and dedication of dairy veterinary teams across the industry, providing the judging panel with an exceptionally challenging task.
And the winners were…
Dairy Vet of the Year - Sam Potter of Hook Norton Veterinary Group.
Sam was recognised for his progressive, data-driven approach to preventative medicine, achieving measurable improvements in herd health while helping farms move away from reactive firefighting.
‘Sam’s ability to turn complex data into practical action, alongside his commitment to farmer wellbeing, makes him a trusted and highly effective partner to his clients’. Said Sarah Kearney, Farm & Equine Product Manager at Virbac.

Dairy Practice of the Year - LLM Farm Vets Derbyshire
LLM Farm Vets practice has grown impressively to become the area's first farm-only practice, which pioneered the local VetTech service. This, combined with their commitment to Nottingham University student training and large-scale clinical audits (such as a major c-section study), demonstrated that they are a true leader in proactive, partnership-led dairy care.
‘Their pioneering services along with outstanding use of data analytics such as their bespoke VetInvest financial tracking tool, Digifarm health tracking, and comprehensive calf dashboards set them apart’ explained Sarah.
‘The LLM Farm Vets Derbyshire Team had an amazing evening at the Cream Awards and we’re really proud to have been awarded Dairy Vet Practice of the Year’, said Andrew Henderson, LLM Strategic Board Director. ‘Personally, I was really shocked to have won and can’t believe that we’ve achieved this after only opening as the first farm animal practice in the area 8 years ago.
