Virbac is delighted to introduce NEW Prevexto™, a long-lasting parasiticide collar designed to provide reliable flea and tick protection for cats and dogs.
Developed by experts and building on Virbac’s 50 years of parasitology expertise, Prevexto™ offers up to eight months* of protection with a single collar, providing a reliable and cost-effective option for veterinary practices and their clients.
The collar kills fleas and both repels and kills ticks. It also helps reduce the transmission risk of Babesiosis and Ehrlichiosis.
Suitable for both cats and dogs, ideal for multi-pet households, Prevexto™ contains the active ingredients flumethrin and imidacloprid which are distributed through the lipid layer on the pet’s skin and coat, supporting head-to-tail protection without systemic absorption.
The comfortable and non-greasy collar is soft and designed to fit all breeds and sizes and is equipped with a dual safety mechanism to help prevent trapping or choking, including a controlled expansion mechanism, a “V” breakaway point for cats and small dogs.
Prevexto™ is positioned as a cost-effective alternative for parasiticide portfolios and as an accessible entry point for consistent flea and tick protection, ideal for front of house sales due to its NFA-VPS licence. It is designed to support pet owner compliance by reducing the frequency of re-application and helping avoid protection gaps.
