World Horse Welfare is offering horse lovers in Norfolk the opportunity to ride through some beautiful scenery in our 85th Anniversary Pleasure Ride through Euston Park next month.
The event near Thetford is taking place on Sunday 15 April at 9am by kind permission of the Duke and Duchess of Grafton and is to celebrate our charity helping horses for the last 85 years.
The ride consists of fantastic off-road grass and estate tracks of eight and 12 miles through the scenic grounds of the estate. Supporter Fundraising Officer at World Horse Welfare Frances Plume says: “This ride really is stunning and is a wonderful opportunity for people to bring along their horses and have a great ride on tracks that are perfect going. This is the first time we have held a Pleasure Ride at Euston Park and we are extremely grateful to the estate for allowing us to organise it. We couldn’t think of a better way to help celebrate our 85th year!”
Entries cost £20 for adults and £15 for children and for World Horse Welfare Champion Plus members, and those taking part who are under the age of 14 need to be accompanied by an adult either on or off horseback. All profits are going to World Horse Welfare. Entries close on Thursday 5 April. There will be an additional cost of £5 for any late entries or entries on the day.
Goodie bags and rosettes will be provided for all those taking part and light refreshments will be on sale on the day. All the necessary back up support will be on hand should they be needed including a vet and St John Ambulance.
Dogs are allowed on the Estate on the day but need to be kept on a lead and are only allowed at the venue and not out on the ride itself.
If you are interested in taking part and would like more information please contact Frances Plume on 01953 497210, [email protected] or you can sign up via our website at www.worldhorsewelfare.org/you-help/fundraising
A photographer will be on site to take photographs of those taking part. The event is also kindly supported by Ben Burgess who are supplying an off-road vehicle.More from
