The theme for the World Veterinary Day 2008 is “The diversity of the veterinary profession”.
The WVA and the OIE agreed on the creation of the World Veterinary Day Award aimed at rewarding the most successful celebration of the veterinary profession by national veterinary associations, alone, or in cooperation with any other selected veterinary body.
The first WVA-OIE World Veterinary Day Award will be given at the 29th World Veterinary Congress in Vancouver on 27-31 July 2008.
A total of US$ 1,000 prize money will be donated equally by WVA and OIE to the Award winner. Toolkit for applicants can be requested to the World Veterinary Association at [email protected]. Applications should be submitted to the same address by 1 May 2008.
