Date: Thursday 1st October, 2026 - Friday 2nd October, 2026
Start time: 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Cost: £1799

Managing orthopaedic trauma in cats requires careful planning, a sound understanding of fracture fixation principles and an appreciation of the important anatomical differences between feline and canine patients.

This highly practical two-day course is designed to help you build confidence in approaching a range of common feline fractures and traumatic injuries in a structured and effective way. Supported by short lectures and extensive practical sessions, you will develop your decision-making, refine your surgical techniques and use pre- and post-operative radiographs to improve both planning and case review.

Because the course is aimed at delegates with existing orthopaedic knowledge, you should already be confident with the principles of fracture fixation, lag screw fixation, surgical approaches and core orthopaedic techniques in order to gain maximum benefit from the training

Topics to be covered include:

Pelvic fractures, including ilial shaft fractures and sacro-iliac separation
Humeral fractures
Tibial fractures
Femoral fractures
Radius and ulna fractures
Metacarpal fractures
Surgical planning using pre- and post-operative radiographs
Practical application of feline orthopaedic trauma techniques
