Key to developing proficiency in non-elective surgical procedures is access to hands-on practical time to hone our manual skills. Students enrolled on the perineal hernia/urethral surgery course will have the benefit of maximised laboratory time where these surgical procedures are performed on cadavers. The necessary theory and case management details are covered via a mixture of pre-recorded lectures and review lectures on the day.
Lunch and Refreshments included.
Learning Outcomes:
Demonstrate the surgical techniques required for meniscal exam and lateral suture for CCLD and trochleoplasty/tibial crest transposition for patella luxation.
Who is it for?
This course is suitable for all general practitioners looking to get-ahead in small animal soft tissue surgery, and those looking to improve patient outcomes and broaden their skillset.
