Aimed at recent graduates and returners, on this interactive one-day course delegates will systemically approach common clinical presentations encountered in first opinion general practice whilst consolidating their communication skills.Delegates will be encouraged to work through clinical cases rationally and systematically in a relaxed and informal setting. Case work-up might include interpreting blood results or other in-house diagnostics. Emphasis will be on the approach and work up of these common presentations and delegates will focus on forming accurate problem lists, differential diagnoses and appropriate diagnostic decision making.Delegates will review their consultation techniques and consider how their communication skills can impact patient care, client relationships and practice revenue.Topics to be covered:Systematic approach to common cases within general practiceHow to interpret diagnostic tests including assessment of blood workAppropriate diagnostic decision makingHow to maximise consultation techniques your communication skills
