Advanced soft tissue and orthopaedic caseload. Supportive, well-equipped, independent-group practice. Warm, people-first culture.
If you are ready for a role where your skill, your voice and your wellbeing matter, this may be the change you have been looking for.
If you have been searching for a place where you can actually use your surgical strengths, build relationships with clients who trust you and work within a team that lifts each other up, rather than burns each other out, this role could feel like a breath of fresh air.
The Opportunity
We are working with a respected independent practice in Waltham Forest that has built something rare: a surgery where clinical excellence sits comfortably alongside genuine care for the people delivering it. This is a team that believes you deserve the time, tools and trust to do your best work, not a conveyor belt of cases that leave you running on empty.
They are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for advanced soft tissue work and orthopaedics. Someone who thrives on problem solving, enjoys collaborative case discussions and wants to feel part of a stable, well-supported clinical community. You will play a central role in delivering preventive care, managing medical and surgical cases and supporting pet families in a way that feels human and connected.
Success here looks like practicing confidently, contributing ideas, trusting your colleagues and being trusted in return. You will be joining a team that values warmth, communication and progress just as much as technical ability.
Why This Role Is Different
A team that invests in its clinical growth
The practice actively nurtures development. Several colleagues have already completed or are pursuing certificates in areas such as emergency and critical care and small animal surgery. CPD is not a tick-box exercise here. It is continuous, expected and supported at every stage.
A workplace where people genuinely enjoy working together
You will be joining a team known for its friendliness and stability. Clinical and non-clinical colleagues collaborate closely, and dedicated Customer Experience Coordinators take pressure off the vets so you can focus on the medicine.
Space to practice high-quality medicine
Purpose-built, light and thoughtfully designed, the surgery is equipped with modern diagnostic and surgical tools to support complex soft tissue and orthopaedic work. This is a setting where you can grow your surgical interests with the right caseload to match.
A sustainable rota you can build a life around
You will work a fair 1 in 4 weekends, supported by a strong staffing structure. The goal is simple. Great care for pets without sacrificing your own wellbeing.
Your Journey Here
In Your First Month:
You will settle into the rhythm of the practice, get to know the systems and build relationships with the team who will become your day to day support network.
In Your First 3 Months:
You will be confidently managing medical and surgical cases, contributing to discussions around workflow and identifying CPD or surgical interests you want to explore further.
In Your First 6 Months:
You will be a key clinical contributor, developing your advanced surgical caseload and helping shape how the practice continues to evolve its standard of care.
