250th Practice Joins Medivet Partnership

The Alfreton Park Veterinary Hospital, a nine-vet small animal clinic close to Derby, has become the 250th practice to join the Medivet Partnership. Established more than 100 years ago, Alfreton Park Veterinary Hospital is based in a purpose-built clinic and offers a comprehensive range of veterinary services. An RCVS accredited hospital, it is also one of only four International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM) recognised Cat Friendly Practices in Derbyshire.

Medivet is an independently-owned network of 250 veterinary practices, 15 fully-staffed 24-hour veterinary centres, including six 24-hour veterinary hospitals across the UK. Underpinned by its partnership ethos, it is forging a national network of partner-run practices, offering outstanding veterinary care to patients all under one roof.

Dr Nick Pine MA VetMB MRCVS has been at Alfreton Park since 1999 and has become a Medivet Branch Partner following the acquisition, together with his colleague Dr Matt Ingram CertSAS MRCVS. Commenting on the announcement, he said: "We are excited about joining the Medivet Partnership. It will help us to continue to develop what is an already successful, trusted and highly respected local practice and enable us to offer even more opportunities for our people."

The Medivet Partnership was launched from a single practice in Hendon in 1987 and employs more than 2,800 people across the UK, including over 600 vets and just under 800 veterinary nurses.
