Ark House Vets Goes Digital To Reduce Carbon 'Paw'print
Keeping clients and friends up to date with practice news has always been important to Ark House Vets - the Leighton Buzzard practice produces a quarterly magazine, Paws, to share seasonal advice, latest offers and practice news with local pet owners. Until now, Paws has been produced both in a digital format, available to view on the practice website at www.arkhousevets.co.uk, and as a printed version distributed by the practice. However, as the Ark House team are keen to reduce their environmental impact wherever possible, they have taken the decision to produce all future issues of Paws in digital format only.
Kate Semple, Practice Director explains the rationale behind this important step. "Paws magazine is a key part of our client communications - it keeps everyone in the Ark House community informed of our latest fundraising successes and allows us to let owners know about money saving offers and initiatives such as our Paws Club that help manage the costs of preventative healthcare whilst ensuring that pets receive great care. Our clients tell us that they are very happy to receive regular newsletters by email, and so as most people can now access online content via smartphones, tablets or computers, it makes sense that we do our bit to save paper and reduce our practice's carbon 'paw'print. Working with our partners at Onswitch, who write and design Paws, we're always open to change for the better, and we wanted to take this proactive step to do our bit and make a difference. Through small steps like this, real change can be achieved."
