Award-winning Leeds Veterinary Practice Unveils Expansion

Vets for Pets has unveiled its first fully refurbished location as part of Pets at Home’s major rebrand at its award-winning Leeds Birstall hospital.
The leading pet care business has refreshed its brand, including an evolution of the Vets for Pets brand.
The new-look practice officially opened earlier this month inside Pets at Home on Spring Ram Retail Park, following an extension and refurbishment. The extension has increased the size of the practice by more than 1,800 sq. ft,meaning it is able to offer its extensive range of specialist services and emergency care to even more patients.
Established in 2013, the practice is owned by husband-and-wife Keith and Julie Leonard, and provides emergency and out of hours veterinary care, along with inpatient care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Since then, it was won several awards including Best in West Yorkshire at the Best UK Vet Awards 2022 and continues to pioneer clinical excellence through its 67-strong team of specialists.
The launch was marked by an event attended by clients and members of the local community, including Keith’s brother and TV veterinary personality, Steve Leonard, who has appeared as a wildlife presenter for the BBC, ITV, Animal Planet and Discovery.
Services available at the 24-hour hospital include advanced-imaging, endoscopy, orthopaedic, soft-tissue, laparoscopy, dental and referral-level work, as well as seven consultation rooms and a dedicated end of life suite.
