A leading Basingstoke vet practice is holding a festive open day with plenty of activities for children and pet owners alike.

The open day at Linnaeus-owned The Barn Animal Hospital takes place on Saturday December 16 between 12pm and 4pm with highlights including tours of the newly renovated practice and a children’s Christmas craft station.

Visitors can also learn about how to safeguard their pets during the festive period, plus there will be a Q&A session with The Barn Animal Hospital’s veterinary team.

Practice tours will allow visitors to explore the upgraded reception area and consult rooms, while those feeling peckish or thirsty and can indulge in festive treats including mince pies, prosecco and mulled wine.

There’s also a raffle to support local charity Helping Dogs and Cats UK, while festive pet portraits will help capture the holiday spirit.

Those interested in The Barn Animal Hospital’s exclusive health plan for pets can also learn about the Pet Health for Life Plan.

Fiona Walker, new clinical director at The Barn Animal Hospital, said: “Our festive open day has plenty to keep everyone entertained at this magical time of year.

“Children can get creative with a Christmas craft station, while adults can engage with our veterinary team and learn more about how their beloved pets are cared for.”
