BEVA Unveils Congress Social And Wellbeing Programme
Social schedule balances high-energy entertainment with mindful activities, ensuring options for every attendee's preference and pace.
The British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) has announced its vibrant line up of social activities and wellness events for the upcoming BEVA Congress 2026 (ICC Birmingham 9–12 September 2026).
“Congress is as much about our professional community as it is about excellence in clinical education,” said Imogen Burrows, BEVA President. “This year’s programme offers attendees a raft of ways to network, unwind, and recharge outside the lecture halls.”
Evening Social Highlights
· First Night Fun at Lane7, Wednesday 9 September: Congress kicks off in style on with an evening of bowling, games, pizza, and drinks. Morning Wellness and Fitness
· RunBEVA: Delegates can start their morning with an energising run, jog, or walk along Birmingham’s historic canals. This all-abilities activity is designed to clear the mind before the scientific sessions begin.
· Morning & Evening Yoga: Gentle sessions are scheduled to help vets reset, recharge, and find a calming wellbeing break amidst a busy Congress schedule.
· Mindfulness Lounge and Quiet Space: A dedicated onsite area will be available throughout the event, encouraging delegates to take a quiet moment for themselves to support their mental health and wellbeing.
· Vetlife: Independent, confidential, and free support is also available from Vetlife, who will be present throughout Congress.
BEVA Congress provides access to more than 90 hours of CPD spanning the full breadth of equine practice - from advanced imaging and orthopaedics to reproduction, behaviour, ambulatory care, and practice management. The programme is designed by practising equine vets and nurses and built around real clinical challenges, with a strong emphasis on practical take-home insights that can be applied immediately in practice.
"BEVA Congress wouldn’t be complete without its programme of activities beyond the lecture hall,” said Imogen. "From our infamous socials to morning runs, these moments offer the perfect chance to connect, recharge, and celebrate the profession."
