Bright Leaf Recruitment, the veterinary recruitment agency, is proud to announce that they will be supporting the Veterinary Benevolent Fund as their chosen charity for the period November 2013 to October 2014. They will be kicking off their fundraising efforts at the London Vet Show being held at Olympia.
Richard Powell of Bright Leaf Recruitment said “I have worked in the veterinary sector for almost a decade and in that time have come across the work of the VBF many times. Sadly I am personally aware of too many times when their help was needed but not taken. We are happy to do anything we can do to help raise the awareness of the VBF and the work they do. Most people are aware of the work the VBF do to help with stress, mental health and financial issues for people in the industry. We were really pleased to hear of the help they can provide new graduates who, for whatever reason are struggling with interviews and finding first roles. Obviously this struck a chord with us.”
With regards to their fund raising targets; “It is difficult to say how much we will be able to raise for the charity as this is the first time we done this type of fundraising, however we are looking at a number of ways we can raise funds over the year. Hopefully some of those ways will involve the Bright Leaf team losing some pounds in weight whilst the VBF gain some pounds in in the kitty… We will also be asking our clients and suppliers to support our efforts too. We will be posting any fundraising updates on our websites, Facebook and Twitter pages. “
Dr Lydia Brown, President of VBF, said: “I am delighted that Bright Leaf are fundraising for VBF and that they support our efforts to help recent graduates in particular.”
