Grove Lodge Vets have been nominated for a prestigious Brighton & Hove Business Award for their on-going commitment to their Brighton pet-owning community.
Now in their eighth year the Brighton & Hove Business Awards (BAHBAs) are “set to be the biggest celebration of business success Brighton has ever seen” according to organisers, with judges looking for “companies and organisations that really capture the spirit of Brighton & Hove.”
Grove Lodge Vets in Brighton was established in 1984 on Preston Drove, founded by veterinary ophthalmologist Dr Geoff Startup, and has been looking after the pets of Brighton ever since.
Vet and partner Andrew Ash says ”Despite the rise in corporate veterinary chains springing up all over the UK, Grove Lodge Vets is proud to offer the residents of Brighton and surrounding area - and their pets - a very personal service only experienced by an independent local business that understands local needs.
“By giving back to our valued community via many different ways, including popular weekly school visits to teach children animal welfare, supporting local fun dog shows, rescue charities, puppy parties, offering regular pet advice in local press and social media, evening talks for pet owners, even our fun Doggy Valentine’s fundraiser! Our social purpose to educate and inform means Brighton’s animal loving public regard us as the veterinary voice of their community.”
Already winners of ‘Best Vet Surgery’ in this year’s Wetnose Animal Welfare Awards, Grove Lodge Vets also proudly offer their Pet Health Club allowing clients’ pets the vet’s recommended preventive health care plan e.g. vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, at significant discounts and shared over 12 months.
Vet Andrew continues “Our hugely popular Pet Health Club allows us to effectively compete against internet prices whilst our clients have the benefits of local affordable friendly supply and excellent advice from our staff. Preventative pet care also means our environment is kept worm-free which is incredibly important from a public health point of view, especially with regard to children’s health in Brighton’s beautiful parks and open spaces.”
The winners of the BAHBAs will be announced at a glittering event on Brighton Pier on 6th June.1491 views
