A popular Cambridge vet practice has appointed a new lead veterinary surgeon to its team.

Adrian Huica, who has a passion for dentistry and oral surgery, takes up his new position at Linnaeus-owned Village Vet in Whittlesford.

The new lead surgeon graduated from the University of Agronomic Services and Veterinary Medicine in Bucharest in 2011 and after a few years working as a surgeon in Romania’s capital city, he moved to the UK in 2014, when he joined a small animal practice in north Shropshire.

Adrian moved to Suffolk in 2019 to pursue his interest in dentistry and oral surgery, working with an EVDC diplomate as he developed his passion in that field. Furthermore, Adrian enrolled on a post-graduate certificate in dentistry and oral surgery, which he is currently studying for.

After more than three years in Suffolk, Adrian moved to Cambridge to join Village Vet.

He said: “I’m very excited to be joining the Whittlesford practice, which is renowned for the high standards of service and animal care it offers to patients and clients.

“I’m also looking forward to developing and strengthening the team at the practice and across Village Vet Cambridge, while further improving the provision of small animal dentistry.”

Away from work, Adrian likes to spend time being outdoors with his rescue French bulldog, Betsy, plus keeping active and travelling.

Village Vet has 30 practices across London, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire. For more information, visit www.villagevet.co.uk or search for Village Vet on social media.
