Canine Reproduction Course Launched By Improve International
A two-day course to give small animal practitioners with an interest in small animal reproduction an understanding of the clinical investigation of infertility in breeding dogs and bitches has been launched by Improve International. The course is led by Gary England, Professor of Comparative Veterinary Reproduction, University of Nottingham.
According to Improve, the course has been developed to address a growing interest among first opinion practitioners in developing their knowledge and skills in canine reproduction in order to provide a higher level of service to their clients and to encourage responsible breeding. The course will take place on 28 and 29 September at the Guide Dogs National Breeding Centre in Warwickshire.
Professor England is recognised as a Specialist in Veterinary Reproduction by the Royal College and the European College of Animal Reproduction. Improve International is one of the UK’s leading veterinary training companies with a 20-year track record in providing structured continuing professional development (CPD) to veterinary professionals. It works closely with its assessment partner ESVPS, and with Harper Adams University, which provides the higher education body quality assurance, in running programmes covering a growing range of practice disciplines.
Mr David Babington MRCVS, Managing Director of Improve International, explained: “It’s unusual to find courses covering this topical subject which also include practical components. We have constructed the programme to ensure that it provides a balance between small group presentations and practical sessions with plenty of time for discussion and hands-on practice, enabling attendees to implement their new skills straight away.”
