Cardiology, Dentistry, Pain Management And Soft Tissue Surgery Head Topic List For VetsNorth 2017
Top speakers offering 14 hours of CPD in a lively atmosphere are on offer to delegates at VetsNorth 2017, according to the organisers. Delegates will also benefit from an additional six months’ online CPD free of charge.
VetsNorth takes place on 21-22 June 2017 at the AJ Bell Stadium in Manchester. Now in its sixth year, it has established itself as the leading veterinary conference for the northern half of the UK. The range of content has increased for 2017 with soft tissue surgery, cardiology, dentistry and pain management heading the list. The conference is organised into two clinical streams, a dedicated nursing stream and a separate stream of workshops and masterclasses. Speakers include Dr Pip Boydell (BvetMed, CertVOphthal, MRCVS); Dr Georgie Hollis (BBSc); Dr Prue Neath (BSc(Hons), BVetMed, DipACVS, DipECVS, MRCVS, RCVS) and Dr Matthew Oxford (BVM&S, GPCert(SAS), MRCVS). An exhibition showcasing the latest products and services to the veterinary profession runs alongside the conference.
In a new feature for this year, delegates can also sign up for a free six-month subscription to Bitesize, an online platform launched last year by Improve International. It will offer veterinary surgeons an additional 18 hours of free CPD with the convenient 24/7 access offered by online learning platforms. It will offer veterinary nurses an additional nine hours of free CPD.
“Great CPD offered in an accessible venue with a fun and lively atmosphere is the hallmark of VetsNorth,” said Mr Matt Colvan, Event Director: “In developing this year’s programme, we talked to delegates about the areas in which they are most keen to develop their learning and, following their feedback, we hope they will enjoy the range of content and formats on offer this year.”
