Cave Veterinary Specialists Invests £500,000 In Major Practice Refurbishment
A Somerset animal hospital has invested £500,000 in a major practice refurbishment in anticipation of another year of significant growth.
Linnaeus-owned Cave Veterinary Specialists, in Somerset has created three new consultation rooms, a brand-new reception area and remodelled car park to support an ongoing increase in demand for its services.
The West Buckland-based practice is planning to employ up to 14 new staff in 2022, representing a 15 per cent increase in its overall workforce.
Cave’s hospital director Claire Lawrence said: “This first £500,000 investment in the practice is to improve facilities to an even higher level.
“We’ve created a brand-new reception area which has been remodelled and enlarged to make it a far more comfortable and welcoming space.
“We’ve also added three new consultation rooms, making it seven in total, to help us deal with the increased demand from our referring vets and pet patients.
“Another very important improvement is the provision of a brand new and expanded car park, the importance of which we realised during lockdown, when we had to meet and greet our clients outside.”
“We had to meet and greet our clients in the car park and quickly realised the old space was far from ideal.”
Further investment in equipment and people is planned for 2022, all in response to a significant increase in demand for the practice’s services since the start of the pandemic.
“Cave’s top priority is always to provide outstanding specialist care for sick or injured pets and that’s why we will continually invest in our team of highly-experienced veterinary clinicians and state-of-the-art equipment and technology,” added Claire.
Cave Veterinary Specialists offers comprehensive, specialist-led services in anaesthesia, cardiology, dermatology, internal medicine, neurology and neurosurgery, oncology, orthopaedic surgery and soft tissue surgery.
