Ceva Animal Health held its inaugural ReprodAction Cattle Symposium in Madrid last month, to broad acclaim from delegates and speakers.
More than 300 vets from 23 countries attended the symposium, which was available in five languages. They caught up with the latest research in cattle reproduction management from world-leading bovine reproduction experts, covering subjects including the link between nutrition and reproduction, anoestrus cows, pre-insemination management and embryonic mortality.
Dr Giovanni Gnemmi, who presented a paper on the use of ultrasound for anovular population detection, said: “This symposium was one of the best I have attended in recent years. I travel a lot and I'm lucky to be able to participate in many meetings: this last one in Madrid was excellent, something increasingly rare in recent years.”
The prestigious panel of international speakers comprised:- Dr Alex Bach, Department of Ruminant Production, IRTA, Barcelona (Spain) Nutrition and management of the dairy cow towards improved reproductive performance
- Dr Giovanni Gnemmi, Bovinet (Italy) Using of ultrasound on anovular population detection
- Dr Alex Souza, Ceva Sante Animale (France) Update on non-cyclicity conditions on dairy cows
