Ceva Animal Health has pledged to help struggling members of the Scottish farming community by donating £1 for every unit of their popular anti-infective range sold in Scotland, to RSABI, (formerly known as the Royal Scottish Agricultural Benevolent Institution). The initiative complements Ceva’s current campaign of support for England’s Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution. Both offers run until the end of July 2013. The harsh conditions during the winter of 2012/13, followed by one of the worst springs on record, have had a major impact on many farming businesses in Scotland. Both livestock and arable farmers have been severely affected and in those parts of Scotland hit by the snowstorms of late March, livestock losses have been considerable. RSABI has funding available and is engaged in helping farming families throughout Scotland, and via its dedicated listening and support service, GATEPOST. Paul Tinson, RSABI. Development Manager said: “RSABI is very grateful to Ceva for their generous corporate support at this difficult time for Scottish farming. Our continuing support for the farming community here can only be strengthened by Ceva’s initiative and we are delighted by this valuable assistance.” Ceva’s Managing Director Alan Doyle continued: “While there’s an immediate crisis on some farms, higher costs and reduced output over the coming months will create further longer term challenges. RSABI’s work is absolutely vital and we are pleased be able to assist.” If you are aware of a farming family in Scotland that would benefit from assistance through the current crisis, please recommend that they contact RSABI on 0131 472 4166, or through GATEPOST on 0300 111 4166. Details are also available on the website: www.rsabi.org.uk Ceva’s innovative Cevolution™ range of injectable anti-infectives includes Marbox®, Florkem®, Cevaxel®, Spectam®, Marboxidin™ and NSAID, Meloxidyl® For further information contact Ceva Animal Health Ltd, Unit 3, Anglo Office Park, White Lion Road, Amersham, Bucks, HP7 9FB.
