Huw & Hounds for heroes cheque
The team at Companion Care Vets, a market leader in small animal veterinary care, has raised just over £1,770 for the charity Hounds for Heroes.
The money was raised at the groups’ annual conference where the Joint Venture Partners who run the 116 surgeries across the UK gather for a weekend of CPD and fun!
A pub quiz and raffle were the main fundraising initiatives and the quiz saw teams battle for a win (who said vets were competitive?!)
Spokesperson for Hounds for Heroes, Community Fundraiser, Sarah Welsby said, “We rely on donations and are delighted with this fantastic amount of money. Sincere thanks to Companion Care Vets. The purpose of "Hounds for Heroes" is to provide specially trained assistance dogs to injured and disabled men and women of both the UK Armed Forces and Civilian Emergency Services. Through this provision our aims are to provide help and practical support leading to an enhanced quality of life for our clients.”
Companion Care Vets’ Head of Clinical Services, Huw Stacey adds, “Hounds for Heroes is an inspiring charity and the whole team was keen to raise as much money as possible. We were delighted with the final amount raised, thanks to all of the team for their generous contributions.”
