CVS' Healthy Pet Club Passes 150,000 Member Milestone

'Healthy Pet Club', a loyalty scheme launched by CVS , is celebrating reaching 150,000 members, making it the largest veterinary loyalty scheme in the UK. Mrs and Mrs Amat, owners of a six year old black Labrador called Otis, became the 150,000th members to join the scheme when they enrolled at the Cedar Vet Group in Ringwood, Hampshire, on 27 March. They received a year's free membership to mark the milestone. CVS' Healthy Pet Club (HPC) was one of the first loyalty schemes to be launched in the UK veterinary sector and aims to help practices build regular, forecastable revenue while enabling clients to budget for their pet's healthcare. According to the Amats, Otis enjoys walking, swimming, visiting the beach and retrieving game on shoots with Mr Amat. He also loves playing with their two young sons. The couple made the decision to join the HPC when Otis was diagnosed with early onset arthritis and say they are looking forward to savings on services and treatment involved with the care plan for his arthritis, as well as on the vaccines, flea and worm treatment that are inclusive with HPC membership. Commenting on the success of HPC, Barry Brackner, Commercial and Marketing Director at CVS, said: "With the market for veterinary services so competitive, clients are looking for value and will soon move elsewhere if they don't feel they are getting it. This makes a loyalty scheme increasingly a 'must have' for practices and our Healthy Pet Club is certainly achieving its goals both in terms of both building revenue and improving the welfare of our clients' pets. "We are constantly developing what we offer through the scheme and seek regular feedback from clients and staff to ensure we are exceeding their expectations. We've recently added some new discounted drugs and also offer Lepto 4 vaccine for dogs, for instance. "When your colleagues constantly tell you that the Healthy Pet Club works well for them, you know you're doing something right - and reaching the 150,000 membership mark is something we're very proud of.
