CVS’ Severn Edge Vets Relocates Bridgnorth Practice To New Purpose Built 24 Hour Hospital
CVS’ Severn Edge Veterinary Group is relocating its Bridgnorth veterinary practice to a new, purpose‑built 24‑hour hospital within the town, representing a significant investment in the long‑term provision of high‑quality veterinary care for local pets and their owners.
Opening next week, the practice is moving to Unit 5, Chartwell Business Park, Stourbridge Road, Bridgnorth, approximately two miles from its current premises. The new hospital is located on a recently redeveloped business park on the outskirts of the town, offering improved accessibility while remaining firmly within Bridgnorth.
The new site occupies over 5,000 square feet and has been designed from the ground up to meet the needs of a modern veterinary practice. Severn Edge Vets has invested around £1.5 million in relocating to the new premises, replacing its former building, which has served the community for more than 40 years.
The one‑storey hospital provides a more comfortable and welcoming experience for clients, and a significantly improved layout and working environment for colleagues. New facilities include:
- Six consultation rooms, increasing appointment capacity
- Two fully equipped operating theatres and a large preparation area
- A dedicated dental suite with dental x‑ray
- Diagnostic imaging facilities, including upgraded radiography
- An in‑house laboratory
- Separate dog and cat waiting areas, kennels and hospital wards
- A bright, open reception area with increased seating and natural light
The site also benefits from ample on‑site parking and has been designed to be fully accessible, making visits easier and more convenient for all clients.
Rebecca Smith, Senior Practice Director at Severn Edge Vets, said: “This relocation is an exciting and long‑awaited step for our practice. The new hospital gives us a space that reflects the quality of care our team provides and the skills of our clinicians. It’s brighter, more welcoming and designed with both patient comfort and clinical excellence in mind.
“Our commitment to providing 24‑hour veterinary care in Bridgnorth remains exactly the same. What will change is how clients and their pets feel when they visit us – with improved access, modern facilities and a calmer environment for both cats and dogs.”
Importantly for local pet owners, Severn Edge Veterinary Group’s opening hours will remain unchanged, with the practice continuing to operate as a 24‑hour veterinary hospital, providing emergency and out‑of‑hours care as it always has. All existing contact details, including telephone numbers and client records, will remain the same, ensuring continuity of care before, during and after the move.
An open day for local pet owners is taking place in July, ahead of the hospital becoming fully operational at the new site.
