A charity that supports children with life limiting illnesses and their families in Wales is set to receive a boost from an animal health company.

Dechra Veterinary Products has handed over a £2,000 cheque to T? Hafan after it was chosen as one of the Dechra group’s charities for this year.

It was nominated by Mark Baxter, whose 15-year-old son Harry is a regular visitor to T? Hafan.

Every year T? Hafan has to raise £4 million to provide its free services to families in Wales. It provides free care to children from across Wales at the Sully-based hospice as well as outreach services at home and in the community.

Mark, who is one of Dechra's Key Account Business Managers, said: “We support a number of charities as part of Dechra PLC's wider support of the communities in which we are based and T? Hafan is a charity very close to my heart.

“The support T? Hafan has provided to Harry has been invaluable and I am delighted Dechra has been able to play a small part in supporting the amazing work it does.”

Lynne Carter, Fundraising General Manager for T? Hafan, said: This generous donation from Dechra Veterinary Products will help us continue to provide care and support to life-limited children, young people and their families throughout Wales.

“Our support means that families can make the most of their time together and build precious memories.”

Dechra Veterinary Products specialises in the development and marketing of licensed branded pharmaceuticals in the global veterinary market for food producing and companion animals, equines and others.
