Dechra Launches New 250ml Diatrim Vial

Dechra has launched a new 250ml Diatrim 200mg/ml sulfadiazine + 40mg/ml trimethoprim solution for injection vial to provide vets and farmers with the convenience of a larger vial size.
The new 250ml vial will now be available alongside the 100ml vial to provide greater flexibility when using Diatrim for the treatment of infections in cattle, pigs, dogs and cats caused by, or associated with, organisms sensitive to the trimethoprim-sulfadiazine (TMPS) combination. Diatrim is the only TMPS combination on the market in a larger vial size.
TMPS combinations have a broad bactericidal action against many gram-positive and gram-negative aerobic bacteria and protozoa, such as Toxoplasma and Escherichia coli (E. coli) which causes bovine mastitis, and sulfadiazine is a good compromise between efficacy (potentiation with trimethoprim) and withdrawal time; Diatrim has a short withdrawal time of 48 hours for milk.
