Delegates at VetsNorth2013 took advantage of a range of support materials, including new case studies and otitis support kits, when they visited Dechra Veterinary Products at this year's event.
The case studies, which were developed for Dechra's Time to Change campaign, focus on skin-related conditions, linked into the company's sponsorship of the dermatology lectures by Referral Dermatologist Sue Paterson MA, VetMB, DVD, DipECVD, MRCVS, RCVS.
Senior Brand Manager Roger Brown said: “VetsNorth is always a popular event and we were delighted to be able to support it through the sponsorship of the dermatology sessions and workshops.
“Our new best practice case management posters flew off the stand and there was also interest in support material for Cardisure®, our Pimobendan product.”
Dechra has recently held a series of CPD sessions on the use of methadone in pain management and Mr Brown said many vets and vet nurses had taken the opportunity to speak to the Dechra team about the availability of Comfortan®, following the success of the sessions.
He added: “There is a real appetite for up-to-date knowledge on this topic, which is why we have maintained a focus on delivering practical support and advice and that approach has really been appreciated by the professionals we work with.”
The Time to Change campaign was launched in response to growing concern surrounding the issues of microbial resistance and the case studies which were so well received at VetsNorth2013 are just the latest additions to a growing library of support material for vets and vet nurses on the topic.
The three new case studies supporting the campaign focused on ventral pyoderma, pedal pruritus and facial pruritus and form part of Dechra's Itch Support Kit, which also includes a best practice pruritus case management chart.
