Five Practices Have A Moment Of Calm After Bonfire Night Thanks To ROYAL CANIN
Five lucky practices across the UK and Ireland have been named as the winners of the ROYAL CANIN® bonfire night competition. To remind veterinary staff of the importance of keeping pets (and themselves) calm around 5th November, ROYAL CANIN® gave Vet Times and VN Times readers the chance to win one of five sets of bean bags for their practice break room.
Congratulations to Vets4Pets in Belfast Stormont, Aquarius Veterinary Centre in Suffolk, the Shirley, Southampton branch of Pet Doctors, Wilson Vet Group in Newton Aycliffe, Durham and Liverpool’s Freshfields Animal Rescue.
Marianne Lomberg, Veterinary Marketing Manager at ROYAL CANIN®, said: “Keeping calm in the lead up to and during events such as bonfire night and Christmas is crucial for sensitive cats and dogs. What’s more, with the festive season upon us, it can be a busy time for vet practices too!
“It’s important to remind cat and dog owners that changes in household routine, visitors, being kennelled or loud noises can be confusing for their pets, so they need to keep their routines as calm and as normal as possible. We hope that bonfire night was as quiet as possible for pets and veterinary staff across the country and that our competition winners now have a calming environment to retreat to at work.”
The ROYAL CANIN® Calm canine and feline diet contains L-tryptophan and alpha-cazosepine to help cats and dogs maintain emotional balance. It’s also highly palatable and digestible, ideal for times when sensitive pets may have reduced appetites due to changes in their environments.
