Optimising pain management in cats and dogs will be the subject of a free webinar to be hosted by Dechra Veterinary Products on June 28.
Presented by Dr Joanna Murrell BVSc PhD CertVA DipECVAA MRCVS, a senior lecturer and European specialist in veterinary anaesthesia, the online session ‘Methadone and beyond: pushing the boundaries in small animal pain management’ aims to illustrate what can be achieved using currently available licensed analgesic drugs.
The webinar, will provide valuable advice and solutions. Dechra markets the UK's first veterinary licensed methadone, Comfortan®.
Craig Sankey, Brand Manager at Dechra Veterinary Products, said: “This webinar will discuss the use of methadone for acute pain management in cats and dogs.
“It will revisit the evidence for the use of methadone compared to other opioids for routine types of surgery and provide confidence in the use of methadone in clinical cases.
