Hallmarq Veterinary Imaging Says Trend Is Towards Dual Capability In Advanced Imaging

Following its exclusive agreement to install and distribute Toshiba CT scanners, veterinary imaging company Hallmarq says it has noticed a step change in how practices are improving their capability in advanced imaging. Increasingly, practices are purchasing both MRI and CT scanners together, with many looking for a one-stop shop for equipment aquisition and support.

Cost is also not the barrier that it once was but flexible options are key. Some clinics are now opting for outright cash sales, while others prefer the ‘Pay as You Go’ option. It shows that buoyant practices see advanced diagnostics as key to future success and are prepared to invest for the future.

CEO Jos Belgrave explains that the company’s ‘Pay As You Go’ model has proved an attractive proposition for many years and has reduced the barriers to market entry but now many small animal practices are looking to upscale their offer, “As exclusive distributors of Tohsiba CT scanners, the only veterinary specific small animal MRI and only equine standing MRI, we’re finding that some practices are looking for the whole package and want to source it from one place. They can choose the CT scanner from a range of models that provides best fit with their practice and their other imaging machines. With interest rates at a record low, many are opting for the cash sales option.”

The agreement with Toshiba was concluded in November last year. Toshiba CT systems are recognised as offering excellent performance in the veterinary market. Specialist installation, advice, training, service and support is now provided by Hallmarq.

A recent survey* of the support offered by Hallmarq shows that 100% of respondents rated Hallmarq's remote support as either excellent or good, 98% said the knowledge and professionalism of Hallmarq support staff was either excellent or good (with 75% of responses being excellent) and 100% felt that the time required to resolve their issue was either excellent or good. One practice team member remarked, “Always very helpful with our inexperience in the beginning, good with problem solving, never annoyed about silly questions, very friendly.”

Jos says the company will continue to put quality and flexibility first to support practices as they embrace innovation, ”The range of systems available ensures that there is a scanner to suit every need, from the first venture into CT, through to the creation of advanced specialist centres supporting a number of group practices. We help make this possible by offering flexible payment alternatives to ensure that the financial arrangement fits a variety of business models.”

Hallmarq has offices in the UK, North America and Australia. For further information about CT scanners and MRI contact Hallmarq Veterinary Imaging on +44 (0)1483 877812 or visit www.hallmarq.net
