Heather Hobin, Veterinary Receptionist at Companion Care Vets in Harlow has become the 1,000th person to be employed by the nationwide veterinary group.
As the 1,000th team member Heather’s induction included a celebratory cake and flowers, she says, “I was thrilled to be offered the job at the surgery and when I found out I was lucky number 1,000 I felt very honored.”
Managing Director, Jane Balmain comments, “We are one of the largest employers of veterinary professionals and support staff in the UK and we have seen significant growth in the last three years, we have in fact doubled in size. There are now 95 surgeries across England, Scotland and Wales with the first surgery soon to be opening in Northern Ireland. We are on track to double in size again by 2015 and it is our wonderful and dedicated team that are so integral to this growth.”
Companion Care Vets was named as one of The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For in March 2012, becoming the first veterinary organization to be awarded this accolade. Jane concludes, “Our continued growth is such that we offer a whole host of career opportunities from joint venture partnerships to employed vets, veterinary nurses and support staff. To reach 1,000 team members is another super milestone for the company and we welcome Heather wholeheartedly into our family.”More from
