Increasing Demand For Online CPD During COVID-19 Pandemic
Over 400 veterinary professionals in the UK and Ireland took part in a survey last month conducted by Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health UK Ltd. As part of the company’s ongoing commitment to support the veterinary profession, clients and pets/livestock during the current COVID-19 pandemic, the survey sought to understand what additional support veterinary professionals needed at this time. The most requested support service by 71% of respondents was for the provision of online CPD for learning whilst at home.
The results of the survey are backed up by the number of vets registering for, and using the Boehringer Academy, the company’s free-to-use online CPD platform.
“We’ve seen an 86% increase in the amount of Boehringer Academy CPD consumed in March 2020 compared to the previous month, and an 87% increase in month-on-month registrations over the same period” says Boehringer Ingelheim’s Digital Asset Manager; James Michell.
The Boehringer Academy provides unlimited access to a vast selection of high quality, relevant CPD across a multitude of animal health topics including small animal, equine, ruminant and swine. The Academy also features non-clinical CPD focused on topics such as executive coaching, mindfulness and wellbeing. Content is available as webinars, short videos, podcasts and articles, and can be accessed 24/7 via desktop, mobile and tablet, making it a very flexible learning tool for many differing lifestyles. Vets, vet nurses, practice managers and front of house staff can gain instant, free access to the resources available on the Boehringer Academy by registering at www.boehringer-academy.co.uk.
