Less than a month apart two of Independent Vetcare’s founding veterinary groups open new branches.

On the 5th December 2016, Rowe Veterinary group opened their 6th small animal practice in Filton, North Bristol, due to demand for services for pets living in the new Charlton Hayes housing developments. Currently running with one Veterinary Surgeon and support staff, Rowe Vets, Filton have a second Veterinary Surgeon starting in February to expand their offerings for local pets and their owners.

The site benefits from high visibility on a busy traffic route, plenty of private parking and premises that have been converted specifically for purpose, including separate cat and dog waiting areas.  Some operations are already taking place which will expand when the new operating theatre has been completed.

Bath Veterinary Group’s Keynsham practice becomes the 8th general practice branch which opened 3rd January 2017, within the group which also includes a Hydrotherapy centre as well as their Veterinary Hospital site, Rosemary Lodge.

Having worked for BVG for over 8 years Jo Everett MRCVS is a clinical director at the group and has taken on responsibility for the new Keynsham practice, as well as for the groups further expansion plans. “We wanted to provide the local area with a full service facility and also support our Saltford consult only practice which is in the next village. It’s been a labour of love, but we are very proud of the end result and grateful to have the opportunity to expand the group and services available to pet owners in the area” says Jo.

Having been completely refurbished the site opened with Jo and colleague Kezia Lockhart sharing the veterinary role for the practice and they are looking forward to recruiting an additional vet soon or potentially taking on a new graduate as part of the IVC new graduate programme during the next intake this September.
