AN invaluable one-day workshop is being organised by the Society of Practising Veterinary Surgeons (SPVS) for all practice owners and managers.
The interviews and appraisals workshop, which takes place at The Holiday Inn in Milton Keynes on 4th November, will equip delegates with the skills they need to select the best applicants for their practice and appraisal skills to help them conduct more effective annual performance reviews and attain higher levels of performance.
Topics include: where to look for the knowledge, skill, experience and qualifications needed for a position; how to review an applicant’s background; different types of questions and when to use them and how to avoid common performance review errors.
Course organiser and SPVS President Elect Jacqui Molyneux explained: “This workshop comes at a time when practices more than ever need to have their eye on building the best teams for their practices. Motivation levels need to be especially high in a difficult economic climate and finding the best people for the job will lead to better team working. Appraisals are always a difficult area for many and the workshop will aim to equip practitioners with the skills they need to boost individuals’ performances.”
Attendance rates are £199.00 for the first delegate from a practice. Second delegates from the same practice can attend at the discounted rate of £179.00. All prices are exclusive of VAT. There is a £19.99 discount for SPVS members.
