IVC Evidensia Bolsters Board With World-class Clinical And Veterinary Expertise
IVC Evidensia is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Christopher J Ott, MD, FACEP and Professor Stuart Reid, CBE to the Board of the organisation. Both bring exceptional leadership experience, a wealth of expertise, and a shared commitment to clinical excellence.
Dr Christopher J Ott, MD, FACEP – joined December 2024
Dr Ott joins the Board with an extensive background in emergency medicine and healthcare leadership. He currently serves as Chief Medical Officer, Physician Services, at HCA Healthcare’s Clinical Services Group in Nashville, Tennessee, where he spearheads clinical innovation and operational excellence. His previous leadership roles include Chief Medical Officer at St. Anthony Hospital in Colorado and Group Chief Medical Officer for Centura Health Mountain and North Denver Operating Group.
Dr Ott has been deeply engaged in community service throughout his career, holding Board positions at several charitable organisations, including Inclusion Tennessee and the Medical Foundation of Nashville, where he served as Chair. His values of inclusivity and community engagement align seamlessly with IVC Evidensia’s commitment to care, quality, and community.

Professor Stuart Reid – joins August 2025
Professor Reid brings unparalleled expertise from both the private and public sectors, with decades of experience in veterinary medicine, education, and leadership. A graduate of the University of Glasgow, where he later became Dean, he has been Principal of the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) since 2011. Professor Reid is a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Recognised Specialist in veterinary epidemiology and a diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Public Health, of which he was the first elected president.
His extensive contributions to the profession include serving as President of the RCVS from 2014-2015 and holding leadership positions in veterinary education and professional bodies across Europe, the USA, and the UK. Professor Reid is also the incoming CEO of the American Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC), a role he will assume in August 2025.
Professor Reid said: “I’m delighted to be joining the Board of IVC Evidensia.
