Professor Reid brings unparalleled expertise from both the private and public sectors, with decades of experience in veterinary medicine, education, and leadership. A graduate of the University of Glasgow, where he later became Dean, he has been Principal of the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) since 2011. Professor Reid is a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Recognised Specialist in veterinary epidemiology and a diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Public Health, of which he was the first elected president.
