The London Vet Show (LVS) has launched its most extensive equine programme to date with an additional equine lecture stream and 50 per cent more equine content than last year.

Featuring three full equine streams running for the duration of the two days which are programmed by the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) and the British Veterinary Association (BVA) in partnership with the British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA), the extensive topics covered in the lectures ensure that LVS caters for both mixed and equine only veterinary surgeons.  This will enable them to learn new skills and knowledge to take back to their practice.  The lecture streams are complemented by the show’s ‘Meet the Professor’ equine sessions, where a number of the speakers are able to have more intimate discussions with a smaller group of delegates.

The broad spectrum of topics covered in the 36 sessions include:

‘Strangles – panic on the yard?’ by Philip Ivens MA VetMB Cert EM (Int. Med.) DipECEIM MRCVS, European and RCVS Specialist in Equine Internal Medicine

‘Case based approach to intelligent wound care’ by Georgie Hollis BSc, Director of Intelligent Wound Care Ltd and Derek Knottenbelt OBE BVM&S DVM&S DipECEIM MRCVS, Professor/Consultant at Equine Medical Solutions
