London Vet Show

With a packed programme over two days which features over 120 lectures and a 400-strong commercial exhibition, the London Vet Show (LVS), which takes place at ExCeL London on Thursday 17 and Friday 18 November, is bigger and better than ever before.

David Cuffe, owner of Cuffe Vets in Clapham has been coming to LVS since its launch in 2009.  Here, he highlights why he feels that LVS should be ‘top of the list’ when it comes to considering which vet shows to attend.

Why do you go to LVS?

I go to LVS every year due to its high quality content, prestigious speakers and good commercial exhibition.  Being in London, I also find LVS easy to get to.

I’m really looking forward to the lectures in the RVC Clinical Theatres and the IDEXX Advanced Diagnostics Stream, but perhaps particularly the emergency and critical care stream.  I’ve also got a new practice to kit out, so the exhibition is a must to enable me to research new products and technology.

Do you recommend the show to others?

I certainly do.  Particularly for the high quality content, top calibre speakers and great location.

What are you particularly looking forward to seeing and doing?

I’m interested in clinical pathology and emergency care, so the emergency and critical care lectures are a must.  I always take in some of the non-clinical and business sessions as building the practice team is of prime importance.  I’m also really looking forward to the new-look LVS exhibition and I’ll be visiting PLH Medical, IDEXX and Technik Technology, with a view to buying items for my new veterinary practice.

Have you got plans for the evening of the show?

I’m a bit long in the tooth to take advantage of the hospitality in the evening, but my staff have been known to take part and have thoroughly recommended the after show events, including Thursday’s LVS party night!
