Following invaluable feedback from both delegates and exhibitors, the London Vet Show has moved to the state-of-the art ExCeL London in the heart of the Docklands in East London.  The move will enable the venue to be navigated more easily by delegates and the lecture theatres will also be soundproofed to ensure that they are as user-friendly as possible.

Here we provide an overview of how to get to ExCeL London and what to do after the show.

How to get to ExCeL London

DLR (Docklands Light Railway)

The Docklands Light Railway (known as the DLR) is part of the London Underground network. Two of the stations, Custom House and Prince Regent, are on the ExCeL London campus. Trains pull up at a covered walkway leaving visitors with less than a two-minute walk to the ExCeL London entrance.  Service is fast and frequent - DLR runs 12 trains an hour.  Please use the Custom House exit as it is closer to the London Vet Show and will enable delegates to get to the show as quickly as possible.

London Underground

The Jubilee Line and the DLR are the quickest routes to ExCeL London.  Alight at Canning Town on the Jubilee Line and change onto a Beckton-bound DLR train for the quick two-stop journey to ExCeL.

ExCeL London – after hours

There are a lot of things to do in and around ExCeL with quick and easy links to central London.  Here are a few highlights for those who want to go out after the show, but do not want to travel too far.  The plethora of local activities include:

Greenwich

A World Heritage Site, Greenwich encompasses a variety of visitor attractions including London’s oldest royal park, the National Maritime Museum and the Royal Observatory.  There are also shops, markets and a variety of pubs and restaurants.

The O2

The O2 is a popular music venue as well as home to over 25 bars and restaurants - the indigoO2 (a smaller live music club), an 11 screen cinema and visitor attractions including the British Music Experience and Up at the O2.  During the London Vet Show, the O2 is hosting the Barclays ATP World Tour Tennis Finals.

St Katharine Docks

Situated alongside Tower Bridge and the Tower of London, St Katharine Docks is an attractive waterside location with a mixture of shops, bars and restaurants.

Canary Wharf

Canary Wharf is a vibrant business district offering over 200 shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, as well as leisure facilities and an extensive arts and events programme.
