7.00 pm, Saturday 23 November - 10 miles
Staff from the Mandeville Veterinary Hospital and North West London branches of the Goddard Veterinary Group are preparing to don moustaches and complete a 10 mile moonlight walk to raise funds for research into prostate, testicular and breast cancer. The walk will take place on Saturday 23 November. November, or 'Movember', the month traditionally associated with fundraising for prostate cancer in men. It will start and finish at the Mandeville Veterinary Hospital.
Commenting on the walk, Adrian Hayter, Practice Manager at the Mandeville Veterinary Hospital, said: "We thought that undertaking a Moonlight walk, usually associated with fundraising for breast cancer, during 'Movember' would be a great way of supporting all of the charities. Our female staff members will be creating moustaches from whatever materials they choose so we're expecting a splendid array on the evening - they will probably be a great deal more fetching than those sported by male members of staff - though we are allowing them to 'make a mo' if they don't want to grow one!
We want as many walkers as possible so anyone who's interested in taking part can call the Mandeville Veterinary Hospital and we'll give them all of the details. You can also support us by sponsoring us at: mosista.co/mandevillevet (Male Cancers) and virginmoneygiving.com/team/mandevillevet (Breast cancer)"
Goddard Veterinary Group has been providing veterinary care for animals across Greater London for 60 years through its network of 45 branches and three veterinary hospitals. The Mandeville Veterinary Hospital is based at 15 Mandeville Road and can be contacted on 020 8845 5677.2654 views
