A Merial sponsored equine CPD seminar has raised over £1500 for HEROS, the Homing of Ex-Racehorses Organisation Scheme charity. Now in its 6th year, the Gastric Ulcer Awareness Month (GUAM) CPD seminars have raised more than £6000 for the charity.
The amount raised this year exceeds the previous events, says Merial’s Dr Emma Batson. “Once again the event was fully booked with an excellent turnout for first class CPD presentations by Andy Durham, Richard Hepburn, Alex Dugdale and Richard Newton.
“HEROS is a great charity to be associated with, especially as part of GUAM as we know that a significant number of racehorses are affected by gastric ulcers. Delegate donations are voluntary, and we are delighted with the generosity of those who attended.”
HEROS founder Grace Muir adds: “£1500 is a fantastic boost to our charity, and I would just like to say a big thank you to Merial and all the vets who donated this year, and since GUAM began in 2007.”2970 views
