Dechra Veterinary Products has boosted its equine team focus with the appointment of a former nurse with a background in pharmaceutical sales.
Justine Whitmore’s new role as Equine Sales Manager will allow Dechra to deliver increased customer contact and support for veterinary professionals in the sector in the East of England.
The appointment is a strategic investment in Dechra’s equine portfolio, which includes key products such as pain management treatments Osphos® and Equipalazone®.
Justine, who lives in rural Leicestershire, is a Registered General Nurse who specialised in cardiac and neurological intensive care medicine. She has also worked in a number of roles in the human pharmaceutical sales industry.
She said: “As an animal lover, joining Dechra felt like the perfect match of hobby and career – it was a great opportunity for a new challenge.”
A keen horse rider, Justine also has a BSc in Health Science and a Diploma in Nursing Studies. In her spare time, her hobbies focus around animals including the family Labrador, Brodie, and cats Sid and Olive.
Dechra Brand Manager Emma Jennings said: “Justine’s nursing and pharmaceutical knowledge means she is ideally placed to help Dechra extend the support it can offer veterinary professionals who work in the equine sector.
