New Appointments To Veterinary Management Group Board Announced

The Veterinary Management Group (VMG), which represents veterinary professionals working in leadership and management roles, has appointed five new board directors to help it develop the support it provides to its members.
The new directors are:
Mrs Alison Daubney, Practice Manager, Summerleaze Vets Ltd
Dr Mark Gill, Operations Director, Goddard Veterinary Group
Mr Gavin Mitchell, Managing Director, IMV Imaging
Ms Tracey Morley-Jewkes, Hospital Director, Willows Veterinary Centre
Mrs Liz Somerville, Managing Director and Practice Manager, Loch Leven Equine Practice.
All five were appointed following interviews at the VMG’s board meeting in June and join the board with immediate effect. Commenting on the appointments, VMG President Mrs Gillian Page said: “Strong leadership is more important than ever in today’s competitive and fast-changing veterinary industry. The VMG is unique in bringing together leaders and managers working in both practice and in industry in an inclusive and friendly environment and helping them to develop the skills, experience and network they need to run successful veterinary businesses.
“Our five new board members bring with them a host of experience and expertise that will help us to accelerate our efforts to widen our appeal, reach and membership. I feel privileged to lead a team of such outstanding veterinary professionals and we are all looking forward to this next exciting phase of the VMG’s development.”
The Veterinary Management Group (VMG) represents and supports veterinary professionals in leadership or management roles. Offering a range of resources for professional and personal development, the VMG is a collaborative community within which veterinary leaders can share experiences, build relationships and work together to advance their practices and the wider profession.
