Norbrook To Promote Accurate Dosing At Summer Shows

Norbrook is gearing up for a series of major livestock shows this summer where a central part of engagement will focus on the responsible use of medicines in respect of accurate dosing.
To support the concept of accurate dosing Norbrook is giving away a Ritchie Draft Pro with Eziweigh 7 weigh head valued at more than £2,000. To enter the competition simply visit the Norbrook stand at one of this summer’s major livestock shows across the country and fill in the entry form.
Chris Geddes, Marketing Manager, Norbrook said, “The Draft Pro is designed to make routine tasks more time efficient and allows farmers to easily handle and weigh sheep. This decreases the likelihood of under-dosing animals when treating with a flukicide for example.
“We’re committed to working with the industry to ensure accurate dosing – and this system helps to do that in a welfare-friendly operation. It ties in with our theme of promoting the responsible use of medicines through accurate dosing at some of the country’s most important livestock shows.”
The Draft Pro’s 4 point weighing provides improved accuracy, while its 3 way drafting enables increased efficiency when handling sheep. The Draft Pro is also EID compatible and can be moved around the farm or be permanently fixed. The Eziweigh 7 is Bluetooth enabled to help record live weight gain data easily. The storage capacity hold is 50 weighing sessions and 10,000 records.
Entry forms will be available from the Norbrook stand at major livestock shows this summer, including the Royal Highland Show (22-25th June), and the Kelso Ram Sales (8th September). Farmers simply fill in the form answering one question correctly to be entered into the free prize draw.
