Petsavers is joining in with the BSAVA 50th anniversary celebrations with the launch of the first Petsavers Photography Competition.
To celebrate all that our pets mean to us and our families and the friendship that exists between our pets, the theme of the competition is ‘companionship’. Open to amateur adult and junior photographers, the Petsavers Photographic Competition aims to find the best pictures inspired by our thoughts of pet ‘companionship’.
Petsavers, supported by Merial, hopes to inspire pet owners to reflect on what their pets bring to their lives. Petsavers aim is to fund work into helping diagnose and treat the illnesses that affect our pets so that the veterinary profession can further improve the health and longevity of our nation’s pets.
The competition entries will be judged by Simon King, presenter of Big Cats Diary, which follows the progress of lions, leopards and cheetahs in the Masai Mara.
Finalists will be invited to a presentation hosted by Simon King at the forthcoming British Small Animal Veterinary Association Congress on Thursday 12th April and the winning pictures will be on display throughout the event in the International Conference Centre, Birmingham.
Categories of entry are:
Adult - over 16 years of age
Junior (a) - 12 to 16 years of age
Junior (b) - 11 years of age and under
Entry forms together with full entry requirements and the terms & conditions are available on the Petsavers website www.petsavers.org.uk.
