Molly Varga (Centre) at London Vet Show Molly Varga (Centre) at London Vet Show Delegates who attended London Vet Show and the rabbit workshops sponsored by Supreme Petfoods, were able to gain valuable hands-on experience thanks to a collaboration between Supreme and Pets At Home. Several rescue rabbits from Pets At Home stores across London were brought to the event to help exotics expert Molly Varga and dedicated small furries nurse Wendy Bament, illustrate some key points as part of their workshop sessions. The rabbits are part of the Support Adoption for Pets re-homing scheme. The scheme allows owners who are unable to look after their pet any more to bring it to a Pets At Home Adoption Centre in-store where it is cared for until a new home can be found. The new owners make a voluntary donation and that money in turn is used to support animal welfare organisations and local re-homing centres. After the workshop at London Vet Show and a thorough MOT by the experts, the rabbits were returned to the Pets At Home Adoption Centre. As a thank you to Support Adoption for Pets for bringing the rabbits, Supreme donated £1000 to the charity, which will allow many more small pets to find new homes. The increasing interest in small furries by the profession was reflected in the number of enthusiastic visitors to the Supreme stand, with particular interest centering on the VetCarePlus brand, which is based on the company’s own unique monoforage® formulation and the new raised fibre levels in Science Selective. It proved to be a highly successful event for Supreme Petfoods all around as they were also awarded Best Shell Scheme Stand at the event.
