Hosted by The Veterinary Marketing Association (VMA) its annual House of Lords debate will discuss rights to prescribe and dispense veterinary medicines in the UK.
Held on Wednesday October 9th, the event is open to anyone involved with the veterinary profession, and there are just a few places left says VMA chair Jason Davies. “Although it is by no means certain that new legislation affecting vets’ ability to dispense the medicines they prescribe will come into play, it could become a reality,” he adds.
The ‘Question Time’ style debate includes a panel with Matt Dobbs, Westpoint Veterinary Group and director of farmacy.co.uk; Jamie Crittall, Oak Barn Veterinary Centre; Andrew Curwen, XL Vets; Paul Green, Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD); Ian Scott, AHDA; and Richard Young, The Soil Association.
The formal meeting will be followed by a drinks reception in the Cholmondeley Room and lunch on the House of Lords’ Terrace. Tickets are priced at £130 (plus VAT) for members and £150 (plus VAT) for non-members. This includes a Champagne reception and three-course meal (with wine).
