This year’s London Vet Show was all about supporting the hospitalised patient for ROYAL CANIN. The leading pet-food manufacturer introduced delegates to its recently launched range of complete liquid diets, specifically designed for tube feeding. Their round table discussion on critical care management in the first opinion practice was also a hit.

Sarah Collins, Veterinary Marketing Executive at ROYAL CANIN, explained: “The management of critically ill dogs and cats is challenging and can appear overwhelming to many practitioners.  However, it is possible to manage many of these patients in first opinion hospital practices without particularly complex equipment or facilities. “

Visitors to ROYAL CANIN’s stand were offered the chance to win a number of prizes. Jess Power from Hampton Vets in Cambridgeshire was the lucky winner of a Buster ICU cage worth £250 for her practice and a £100 restaurant gift card. The three runners up were Vanessa McAuley from Coastal Vets, Annie Jordan from Faversham Vets and Katie Lewis from Penmellyn Vets. They all won a Selected Topics in Canine and Feline Emergency Medicine volume 1 and 2 handbook set.

ROYAL CANIN’s range of complete liquid diets includes a canine and feline Renal Liquid formula with high quality proteins and restricted levels of phosphorus, Recovery Liquid with high protein for maintaining muscle mass in dogs and cats, GI Low Fat Liquid diet to support dogs requiring fat restriction and GI High Energy Liquid for dog requiring enhanced digestive support.
